Roger faced veteran, Philip Kohlschreiber, today in the round of 16. The German came out looking strong and playing at the top of his game, challenging Roger to a tie-break in the 1st. Neither player let up in the second, and the two battled. Roger was able to break at 5-5 and serve out the match to capture the win 7-6(10), 7-5.

  

Roger takes one step closer to becoming the number one player on the ATP.
