November 1, 2018 -- Paris, France Roger played his first match today against Fabio Fognini at the Rolex Paris Masters. While neither looked to be playing lights out tennis, Roger did what he needed to find enough of a rhythm to advance to the Quarterfinals. Winning 6-4, 6-3, Roger now has a 4-0 record against the Italian player. "I think both of us were far from our best, but we fought with what we had and at the end I think I maybe served a bit better in the important moments than Fabio did. Off the baseline, it was tough. He takes the ball early and can really redirect really well. But I’m very happy because it means I’m moving on in the tournament." With 27 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles under his belt, the Swiss Star is looking to win his 100th title here in Paris.
