While the world continues to be in awe of Roger's already amazing 2017, there has been speculation if he would be competing come 2018.

Having played an abbreviated schedule already this year, Roger skipped the clay court season to ensure he would be ready for grass season. Today, the 35-year old Swiss player confirmed he would start the 2018 season again at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia. Roger began his 2017 campaign in Perth this year playing the international team tournament for Switzerland and pairing with Belinda Bencic, with whom he will partner with again in 2018.

"It was the perfect preparation because I was in a good mindset," he said. "When I went to Melbourne, I could really look back on some great preparation, and I think that's what also made me win the Australian Open."
